There’s a lot to like about Health and Fitness Expos. First, and most importantly, we get to meet our customers face-to-face. Having a personal connection with folks who love our brand and support our mission is worth every mile we drive, every lukewarm rest area coffee we drink, and our time away from home.

We also get to visit new places, see new things, and learn more about this great country of ours. This weekend, illumiNITE heads to Bethlehem, PA for the Runner’s World Half Marathon and Festival.

Settled in 1741 by the Moravians (an area in the Czech Republic – I had to Google that), Bethlehem was once the second largest steel producer in the United States. Runner’s World headquarters is right down the street.

The event schedule is packed with running events, seminars, and music. Families take center stage on Friday with kids’ races and children’s events. On Saturday, organizers put on a 5 and 10K, plus a 1-mile dog run. Sunday is the big event and the half marathon kicks-off at 8:00 am.

Throughout the weekend runners and guests may attend seminars on a host of topics, like trail running. yoga, heath and fitness concerns for women runners, why better gear matters (could they be discussing illumiNITE???), functional strength training for runners, and how to run injury free. Check out the event website to learn more.

IllumiNITE will be at the ArtsQuest Center for the Health & Fitness Expo on Friday, October 14th from 11am-7pm, and Saturday, October 15th from 8am – 5pm. The ArtsQuest Center is part of a repurposed steel plant project (cool!), and it runs cultural, artistic, and heritage performances and celebrations.

We’d love to see you, so stop by our booth on Friday or Saturday to say hello (and see our fall and winter gear).  Mention this blog post and win a prize.

Can’t make the race? use Coupon Code FALL at illumiNITE.com and get 15% off your order through October 31st, 2016!
