Yoga and Running

Even in the cold and snow, running is still a favorite activity for many. Running in the winter has its downside – black ice, snowy sidewalks, and for me, super tight muscles. According to people who know about this stuff, yoga is a good addition to a runner’s workout routine.

Yoga improves flexibility, and strengthens and lengthens muscles. Plus it feels pretty good. Runner’s World Magazine claims that yoga, “can help you run more efficiently and stay injury-free.”

The Chopra Center, run by FoO (Friend of Oprah) Deepak Chopra, recommends 6 yoga poses for runners in this article. Check it out. Your muscles will thank you.
